Man we are looking forward to February!

January was a little rough for us. We had a few more snow days which made the adjustment back into school rough on Grace. Then Bryce spent too many days at home sick. After a round of antibiotics interrupted by the stomach flu he immediately had green snot and a fever again. And then this week hit! Let me lay it out for you...
Tues. Bryce came home from school with yet another fever that wouldn't break until Friday morning. It remained between 101 and 104 for four solid days. He started an another antibiotic.
Thurs. Dr. checks Bryce and can not find a reason for the fever. He says we may just have to tough the weekend out with the antibiotic, tylenol, and motrin.
Fri. Dr. calls first thing in the morning. He was unsatisfied with his diagnosis and wants to run more test. These tests tell us that Bryce has a white blood cell count of 2600. (Normal would be below 1000) Bryce is admitted into the hospital for IV fluids and stronger antibiotics.
Sat. The source of the infection is still a mystery, but the meds are helping with the white blood cell count. It is only at 1500 today. We still have to stay one more night to get them back to normal.
Sunday morning. We finally get to go home!! Mommy and Bryce are so tired, but after and minor melt down and a 3 hr. nap we are feeling much better!
Monday morning. Drew wakes up at 4 a.m. with a fever of 102 and a cough. To the dr. we go again. More antibiotics. On the way to get the new meds Mommy slides on the icy roads and runs over a 4 foot pole in Daddy's car! Awesome!

We will be taking donations for the bills that are soon to be arriving at our house! Just joking but I'm sure hoping I wake up tomorrow and February treats us a lot nicer!
