Gracie's 1/2 Birthday

These are the cupcakes I made for Grace's 1/2 birthday at school tomorrow. They are the best cupcakes I have ever made. They are not burnt, the frosting didn't pull the tops off and the sprinkles stuck to the frosting without me pushing them on. Now if we can only get them to school in one piece...wish us luck!

Messes of the week!

First we will start with Rufus who got into a fight which prompted a bath! He absolutely loved that (sarcasm)!! Then the wounds got infected and he developed an abscess which pussed and bleed and cost $60 to fix! Mess #1

Hutchinsons helping Haiti

These are pictures of our kids making health kits that UMCOR will take to Haiti as part of the earthquake relief effort. Look how sweet they are. (At this point I will forget to mention that they wanted to keep the toothbrushes and combs for themselves!)

What luck!?!?

The other day I was thinking how lucky we were because we had not had very much sickness this winter...how stupid of me! Let me recount the last 17 days for you.

Tues.- Bryce throws up 5 times

Sat.-Jenny throws up 3 times

Sun.- Drew throws up 5 times

Mon.- Bryce sounds very croupy at bedtime, Dr. gives him medicine for croup

Tues.- Bryce stays home from school, Drew and Grace both come home from school early. Grace throws up 5 times

Wed.- Everyone stays home from school, Bryce spikes a fever.

Thurs.- Bryce goes to Dr. and is diagnosed with RSV

Fri.- Bryce is put on breathing treatments for the weekend

Sun.-Grace and Drew get colds

Mon.- Drew has double ear infection...antibiotics for 10 days.

Wed.- Andy throws up 1 time

Thurs.-Andy is home all day

I keep trying to remind myself how lucky I am that my kids problems are so mild and will end soon. There are so many horrible things in this world right now and this week is nothing in comparison but man I am ready for spring!!

Snow Daysssssssssssss

Will the snow ever stop?!?! These pics were from the first couple of days of snow when we were still excited about and it was above 0 degrees! Bryce was napping and we had the monitor on just in case you were worried!

Christmas take 3

We spent the week after Christmas at my parents with Adam and Ashley. If you read Adam's blog it sounds like we had some pretty deep conversations but I'll give you the real low down...we drank a little, ate a lot, got some pretty awesome homemade scarves, and overall had a good time...oh yeah and Ashley had food poisoning or something awful and puked for a solid 24 hours! Poor thing!

Hey Thompson grandkids, recognize the horse Bryce is riding...it is the one out of Grandma's basement...he loves it!

Andy's Christmas present from his parents!

What a great way to warm up after a cold football game...a warm basketball game. Hutch took the boys to the Denver Nuggets game following the Chiefs big win!
These boys forget how old they are when they are together! They had a great time and I'm sure it will be a trip they always remember!
